Sports Day
Sports day this year threatened to be a
wash-out, however, due to a fair slice of luck the weather held and Sports day
could go on as planned. It’s a good job it did, certainly from a Talbot’s point
of view. Victories were seen across track and field, with field victories
including the Talbot’s 5th form boys, John Holroyd and Josh
Simmons doing the double in the long jump, Michael Holroyd in the high jump and Mik Glik in the senior long jump. Track victories included Ben Nesseler and Mik Glik in the senior B 4x100m and Ben Kight in the Intermediate B 400m. But the star of the show was Teepee Princewell, he dominated both
track and field, with victories in the junior triple jump, 100m and 4x100m.
Overall, as a house along with St Peters we finished second, with victory in the
junior category. This was a fantastic effort, much improved on last year’s
sixth place.
