We begin the new school year with a busy week welcoming all the men of Talbots back with 13 new young men joining the family.
Friday Celebration is our time to really show how much we value all the various endeavours of boys in the house. It is also a great time to eat takeaway together as this video shows!
The Rugby season begins on Saturday and we wish lots of luck to Rufus who has been selected to play for the 1st team. Jack will be playing for the 2nd's. Michael, Justus and James will be playing for the 3rd's (with Michael as captain) and Charlie and James will be playing for the 5th's. In the U16s, Ben.K is captain, whilst Alex.s and Bob are in the B's. Nihat and Duncan will play for the C team and Matthew continues to be a rock in the D team. In the U15s, Frank.H goes into the A team, whilst Teepee and Dom.B will be in the B's. Sasha.P is in the C team and Frank.L and Alex.G are in the D squad.
Dom. K is awarded room of the week-well done Dom-never an easy one on the first week back with all the unpacking and settling back in. there was also some stiff comeptition with Charlie and Fuga coming a close 2nd.
Hodges has been particularly outstanding this week and really helpful assisting with duties around the house.
Man of the week goes to Ben.M for his being awarded academic stripes in assembly, something we are very proud of.
Top bloke of the week goes to Alex.K due to his courage in the face of danger (!!!)
Merits have been awarded to Jonny and Philip.G who got 1 each, but Dom.B is king of merits with 2 (we've only had 2 days of school - come on!)
The barn has has had a fantastic make over which everyone is enjoying with a new pool table, comfy sofas and some amazing artwork on the walls.
