Ice Skating Writeup

We had to wait but it was worth it. In fact this is such a literary marvel that we decided that Josh's account of the ice skating trip needed its own post ;-) :

Before half term, the men of Talbots decided it was time, time to stun the world… Time to go ice-skating. The venue for the master class was to be MK ice. The skaters assembled to the minibuses ready to quick skate their way to MK. The drive was long and seemed to be quite a gowpen. But we had forgotten that the brogdignaim of a journey could not faze ‘The men of Talbots‘. High spirits rose higher due to classy, classic tunes from Crowson's phone. The skaters were to be lead by Mr. Gracie, Mr. Chance, Miss Dimmock and Mrs. Edwards. We arrived at the ice with plenty of time to warm up for the master class. The Skates laced and booted. The ice glimmering smooth and white. It was now! Now was the time. One by one the men slid onto the ice like something off the top of the podium at the figure skating event at Sochi. Mr. Gracie’s pirouettes were immaculate, Mr. Chance's gliding graceful and Nihat’s crashes courageous. The men lay down moves never seen before (as well as latter on, just laying down). All types of skating were on show from the highly impressive men: ‘The men of Talbots’. Speed skating was perfectly executed by Ben, John, Tom, Charlie, Nico and undoubtedly Josh. Figure skating was superbly displayed by Frank, Bob, Benno and Alex. The trip to say the least was highly successful many steps were taken that night. Not only physically but mentally.

*gowpen= a double handful
*brogdignaim= an island off Norway where it was believed giants lived
