Its been a week of much success; of course, we are Talbot's!
Ben.W was awarded a place in the national youth choir which is a huge achievement, especially when put in the context of his not quite making it in last week. The Mo Bros, Ben, Duncan and Harun have been to the fore in teaching lessons and running activities this week. one of these was the Tug of war where the 12 man St Peter's team contained 11 mean of Talbot's and could have had 13 or 14 given how many volunteered. its probably bets we don;t mention the results but it was a great effort. The two Alex's K and S played wonderfully in the lunchtime concert on Wednesday. Harun has also been in the Drama society production of Macbeth. This week also saw the first ever Chinese society hosted at the house by Matthew and his team, it was great to see it getting going.
In sports, Henry will play for the U14B vs NSB.
In the U15 Andrew plays for the A team and Dan for the Bs
In the seniors, Sewy returns to the starting lineup for the XV after his barnstormer against Epsom and Kighty remains on the wing. Sports will play for the 4ths and in our beloved 5th XV Leo, Frank, Matthew, Anthony and John will play.
Lennart and Arthur are heading to Eton dorney for a training day
In merits, the following have been awarded since the Friday before Exeat:
1: Kevin, Dan.R, igor, Frank, Alex.S, Matthew
2: Ruslan, Kostya, Alvin, leo, Simon, Hodges
3: Edwin, lennart

Top Bloke this week is Henry for his amazing piano playing in the house which has made working in the barn really pleasant for other boys. We love this!!!
Man of the week this week for his resilience and amazing achievement is Ben.W

We had a great time karting last week in Milton Keynes. The boys raced in groups of 6-8 and in between had the chance to relax, play some Mario kart, cheer on the other racers and indulge in some hot pizza if they wanted. As ever, they all had a great time and it is after events such as these that the boys feel more part of the house and both deepen and grow new friendships.
It was, of course, a competitive event and the most important thing to know is that Mr Gracie came 4th!
He was unfortunately just pipped by George (3rd), Leo (2nd) and Niklas who won in one of the week's fastest times at the venue! The boys were a credit to the house and it was a trip appreciated all round!
There are a few photos below and a video at the bottom. many thanks to Jo in the 4th form who, we think you'll agree, has quite a skill with the camera!

Fresh faced boys on day one |
Movember is a charity dedicated to preventing early death in men and in the 13 years it's been running they have funded more than 1,200 male health projects helping to tackle issues like prostate and testicular cancers, mental health issues and suicide. They project that by 2030 they will have reduced the number of men dying prematurely by an incredible 25%!!
The boys are working as a team to raise money in several ways, but would greatly appreciate your sponsorship. You can donate on their Movember page by clicking here.
