The Removes - Merit Legends

We have had another busy week in Talbots with lots of fantastic achievements.

Tom has received major hockey colours and is now modelling his nice new blazer and badge, he also attended his second England camp over exeat. Duncan, even with a rotten head cold has qualified for the district cross country squad. Kevin, Dan L. Philip, Assan, Igor and James went to the astronomy lecture this week and the day after a number attended the architecture lecture, including John, Jack, Dan Assan and Kevin. Two of the 5 aside teams that played this week in the charity competition had our lads in it. A team with Fuga, Rio and Nico in it beat one with Charlie, Tom and John in it. Well done to all you guys. 

Frank L. turned 16 on Thursday-Happy Birthday Frank!

Tomorrows fixtures are as follows:
In football playing for the firsts are Rio, Fuga and Nico against St Edwards at home including a first start for Fuga. For the seconds Philip and Rufus are playing away at St Edwards. Justus is playing for the 3rd's away and Alex C. is playing for the 4th team - also his first start. Playing for the Colts are Simon, Hodges and Bob at home against Kimbolton. In the U15s, George is recalled to the A team with Frank and Alex.K is a reserve for the B team. 

In hockey Tom is playing for the 1st's at Oundle. For the thirds Charlie and Jack are playing away against Oundle. Dan S. is played for the U14D team against Rushmoor. For the U15B's Dom B. is playing at home against Oundle. Ben K. is playing for the U16A's.

Top bloke of the week goes to Tom for being awarded Major Colours and another succesful England camp. Honourable mentions went to Duncan for getting into the district cross country squad and Phil for buying Justus a Subway just to be nice.

Man of the week goes to Teepee for his victory in the U17 comp at the London open indoor athletics meet and excellent academic improvement.

Room of the week goes to Bobby and Jonny in room 19-well done guys.

This weeks merit kings are with one merit-Justus, Michael, Dan L. Nico, Benno, Ed, Dan S. Alikhan, Charlie, Johnny and John. With 2 merits are Frank L. and Rufus. With 4 is Frankie and Dom.B and this weeks king is Darren with an amazing 5 merits-well done guys.

Normal Friday night fun

We return to Talbot's after the festivities. Everyone is looking fresh faced and rested ready for another busy term ahead with many events in store. This week has brought exams upon us and many of the boys have spent alot of time over Christmas revising. It is a joy to hear everyone talking about their break and what they got up to whether it be skiing, holidays in the sun or spending valuable time with family and friends.

This term brings hockey and football as the main sports and tomorrow is a packed day.
In hockey Tom will be playing for the 1sts, with Charlie and Jack playing for the 3rds. For the u15B team Dom.B will be in action whilst in the C team Frank L will be playing.

In football Rio, Fuga, Leo and Nico are playing for the first team against Kings Ely at home - an amazing effort from those lads. Phil.G plays his first football game for the school in the 2nds with rufus whilst Justus is playing for the 3rds. In the 4ths, Alex.C is playing his first ever match for the school in any sport! For the U15A are Frankie and George and for the U15B's Sasha P is playing along with Sasha.K, also his first match for the school.

In Water polo, Jonny, Charlie, Fuga and Philip will be playing on Sunday.

Room of the week this week goes to room 5 and room 14 jointly. Well done, Charles, Nikita and Leo. It must be said though that this week everyone ahs been right on top of their tidiness which is great to see.

This weeks Top Bloke goes to George for his selection in the football A team, his first ever A team appearance and no doubt a result of those epic Monday night sports hall matches last term.

Man of the week this week goes to Alex.C for being part of both the year 12 merit party and the clean academic record party as well as getting into the team for his first game for the school.

A special mention also goes to Igor who joined the house this week and has immediately settled in. no doubt he has a big future in Talbot's!
